It's not about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.”

Over the past four years, I’ve grown as a student by learning how to stay focused, motivated, and organized even when classes got tough. I’ve shown intellectual motivation in challenging courses like AP Spanish Language, AP Spanish Literature, Chemistry, and Honors English, pushing myself even when things weren’t easy. One class that shaped me the most was Theology, especially during my junior year when we studied “The Paschal Mystery – Suffering.” That class helped me reflect on pain, growth, and faith, which were all part of my personal journey too. A teacher who made a lasting impact on me was Mr. Estrada, who taught both of my AP Spanish classes. He was more than just a teacher, he was like a friend to everyone in the class. His teaching style was unique because he made learning fun, which encouraged all of us to participate, do the work, and actually enjoy the class. Through his support, I stayed connected to my culture and grew more confident in my academic skills. Throughout high school, I’ve also gained college-ready skills like time management, planning, and emotional control, which I used to balance school with work-study responsibilities and stay on track toward graduation with a 3.13 cumulative GPA.
“You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.”

My CWSP experience has helped me prepare for the real world in ways I never expected. Working in corporate settings has taught me how to communicate professionally, manage time wisely, and stay organized with tasks such as filing, sorting documents, and logging important information, and creating flyers. At every job site I’ve worked, I’ve had to show up with focus and a good attitude, which helped me build stronger self-discipline and good work habits. I learned how to prioritize tasks, stay calm under pressure, and adapt to different environments, skills I’ll definitely carry into my future career and college life. Through CWSP, I didn’t just gain work experience, I built confidence in myself and realized that with effort and consistency, I can push myself to succeed anywhere.
